Super Mario Bros. Wonder[a] is an upcoming platform video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo Switch.[1] An installment in the Super Mario series, the game was unveiled at a Nintendo Direct in June 2023 and is set to release on October 20, 2023.[2] It is the first new console 2D side-scrolling platform game in the Super Mario series since New Super Mario Bros. U's original release over ten years prior in 2012.

The game notably features a new Elephant power-up and a playable Princess Daisy,[3] a first for console Mario games, having been playable before in Super Mario Run. The game also features a new power-up known as the Wonder Flower, whose effects are described by Nintendo as follows: "pipes could come alive, hordes of enemies may appear, characters might change their looks".[4]
