I couldn't find a guide on how to set up the Community version of the HiveMQ MQTT Broker, so I figured I'd make a simple video showing how to install and set it up on a brand new Droplet on DigitalOcean. For many years I've been using Mosquitto, but setting up Websockets is quite combersome. HiveMQ on the other hand is easy to setup, has good documentation and works just as well, so why not use it for your IoT projects?

Getting it up and running with TCP takes about 10 minutes. I then show how to install Websocket support and user management with usernames, passwords and roles. (Sorry about the audio being somewhat distorted at times. I didn't want to do this all over, but only discovered the issue when editing...)
