A major appeal of fast food is its low prices — but the days of super-cheap fast food may be coming to an end.

In July 2023, an X post went viral for showcasing the prices of McDonald’s combo meals at a Darien, Connecticut, rest stop, which included a Big Mac combo meal for a staggering $17.59. Is this the new normal?

ACTUALLY, it does not matter if a fast food meal is $5 or $20, you should NEVER eat this poison. Never support these corrupt companies by destroying your health and wasting your money.

Instead, seek out local places in your area who care about ingredients, care about nutrition, and who are doing what is right for the environment and other humans. We want these places to stay in business and thrive. We also want more of them to open up. We must demand this!

I took off work today to hang out with my husband who is on spring break with his job, and we headed out to Sandia Park, NM-about 30 minutes away on the other side of the mountains here in my hometown. We drove to Lantern Ridge Market and Cafe and had a great lunch. My turkey avocado sandwich, house made chips and tropical iced tea cost the same or less as a Mc Donald's Big Mac meal.
