Our 17th annual gala was a warm and engaging evening hosted by Emily Blunt. We honored Dr. Philip Ozuah, President and CEO of Montefiore Einstein, with our Freeing Voices, Changing Lives Award. He told us about his life as a doctor and the pushback he initially encountered. Amanda Mammana, America's Got Talent Semi-Finalist, performed two original, moving songs about personal growth and empowerment. 11-year-old Ailyn bravely spoke about her journey as a child who stutters, and Marc Winski shared his story of pursuing authenticity as an actor who stutters. Katy Stokes spoke eloquently about parenting two children who stutter, who faced the world very differently. Attendees reported an extraordinary sense of community and kinship among people who stutter and their allies.

The American Institute for Stuttering (AIS) provides specialized, universally-affordable stuttering therapy and support for children and adults who stutter. We offer therapy in our offices in New York City, and Atlanta, as well as Online.
