E23 was sleeping on the attic when a Great Horned Owl came flying in from the east and targeted and struck E23 hard & knocking E23 backwards & off the attic. E23 lands on the swing branch below the nest and remained there for a few minutes watching the area and chirping a new set of alarm vocals. The owl flew to the east after striking E23. E23 appears to be okay!

A few minutes later, an owl flies in from the east and lands on the outer branch of the nest tree! E23 reacts defensively flapping its wings and vocalizing. E23 watched the owl the entire time it was there and then it flew off to the east. An owl is seen on the DSPS and a second owl on the DSPS higher up in the tree. Cam op zooms on the owl - one flies off and the other remains, E23 is watching all the owl activity and emitting low level chirping. Finally the 2nd owl flies off the DSPS and E23 gets to relax. Hopefully the rest of the night will be calm. E23 is safer up in the treetop or upper branches rather than on the attic at night. Thank you for watching.
