Synopsis : હારુન પાકિસ્તાનનો એક મુસ્લિમ છોકરો છે. તે તેના દાદાની સાથે ગુજરાતના કચ્છના રણવિસ્તાર ની ભારત - પાકિસ્તાન બોર્ડર થી તેના દાદા ના પરમ મિત્રની શોધ માટે ભારત માં પ્રવેશે છે. પણ હારુન તેના દાદા થી કોઈ રીતે વિખૂટો પડી જાય છે અને એક દયાળુ હિન્દુ પરિવાર તેની કાળજી લે છે અને તેમના પરિવાર માં સામેલ કરે છે જેઓની ગેરસમજ છે કે હારુન નું નામ અરુણ છે. હારુન ગામના દરેક જણ ના હૃદયમાં પોતાનું સ્થાન બનાવી લે છે પોતાના હેતાળ સ્વભાવ અને હિંમત થી. પણ જ્યારે એના પાકિસ્તાની હોવાની વાત બહાર આવે છે ત્યારે ધરમ અને રાષ્ટ્ર ના નામમાત્ર ના રખેવાળો તે નિર્દોષ બાળક ના ઈરાદાઓ પર સવાલો ઉઠવે છે.
દુનિયાની સમસ્યાઓ વચ્ચે પણ બાળકોની નિર્દોષતા અને દયા ને ઉજાગર કરતી આ ફિલ્મએ દુનિયાભરમાં ઘણા બધા એવોર્ડ્સ અને હૃદયો પણ જીત્યા છે.

Harun is a Muslim boy from Pakistan. He enters India through the desert border of Kutch in Gujarat with his grandfather who is searching for his best friend. But Harun gets separated from his grandfather and is taken in by a kind Hindu family who mistake his name to be Arun – a Hindu name. Harun wins over the village with his loving charm and courage. Yet when his Pakistani roots are discovered, his intention is questioned by adults corrupted by the biases and prejudices of religion and nationality. This film that urges for the innocence and compassion of children in the affairs of the world, has won many heart and awards globally.
