Who did house music better, Drake or Beyoncé?

I expanded the new instrumental into a ‘finished’ product by adding in an acapella and calling it a remix. I think it should have more appeal - people generally listen to remixes, not instrumentals. The format still feels a bit clunky though. Introducing the song to be remixed seems a bit non-sequitur and assumes you’ll have some familiarity with it. The bigger clunk I feel is in going through the instrumentals of each song.

The idea is to find out what defines the sound of a very specific collection of songs (2) defined by the title of the video. It feels like it drags when taking apart each song, since there isn't much of a narrative to drive through these songs. Currently, I start a the beginning and arbitrarily stop until I get a melody, drums, and bass since I need those 3 to make a new instrumental. I did try describing the process of recreating the song, although that turns out to be boring with a lot of ‘I used serum… I grabbed samples..’. Not exactly a compelling narrative. I've also tried using an overarching persuasive argument (“Jimmy Cooks is an aggressive song”). I did this before and it adds some juice, but it doesn’t lend itself to creating a new instrumental and I’d rather keep trying to make the more analytical thing work.
