Mastering notes:

These recordings were synced together using Reaper’s built-in Elastique Pro veri-speed correction.

All recorders are panned straight and center. Recorder 2 is somewhere in the middle and Recorder 1 is further back in the venue. And although the quadrophonic surround elements aren’t all that present, it still does restore a bit of ambience in the recording. There are still examples of some surround effects in the distance, however. Recorder 1 remains stereo for the whole show, so even though recorder 2 has many channel dropouts, the stereo image still remains intact - while still retaining the top end that recorder 2 has.

A new transfer of recorder 4 really helped this project, replacing various recorder dropouts in the first set. I decided to opt out of using the rest of recorder 4 for DSotM, since I don’t think it really added to it. The top end distorts quite a bit in the second set and I found it more distracting than helpful. Regardless, it was extremely helpful for set 1.

All three recorders have been synced up to the correct speed. It was a bit tricky since the recorders were all over the place speed-and-pitch-wise. All recorders are going until Us And Them, when recorder 2 drops out. Recorder 2 does continue with Any Colour You like, but the quality degrades a lot by that point; lots of artifacting on the top end. So it has been left out.
