Niina Ai (manga/animation artist), the creator of YOASOBI's "Yoru ni Kakeru" music video, has challenged to create a full chorus music video of Hiromi Ota's "Momen no Handkerchief" (1975), the classic from the Showa-era.
"Momen no Handkerchief" written by Takashi Matsumoto and composed by Kyohei Tsutsumi, is one of Hiromi Ohta's hit songs. Music video did not exist back in that time.
Lyric is about a couple in a long-distance relationship, they feel that their relationship is ending. The sad feeling illustrated by the lyrics is visualized and expressed through Niina Ai's unique animation.
