Grit and Grain deals with the idea of using humanistic education in building an equitable society where women are treated as equals who are in control of their bodies. It is aimed at building awareness of violence, breaking walls of silence, and emphasizing the impacts of education for children and the long term benefits for society.

Mala Thapar is a motivational speaker, humanist, theatre and visual artist, and a teacher. She has authored books on leadership culture, mindlessness and mindfulness, cultural awakenings, and education.
