“The Way I Am" is the sixth single released from Charlie Puth’s sophomore album ‘Voicenotes,’ which peaked at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in May. In a Beats 1 interview about the album, Puth explained that despite being the intro, “The Way I Am” was the last song he wrote for the album. He included it because the album lacked a track about his personality.
