On July 8th, 2005. The Make-A-Wish Foundation granted Trevor Scott his wish to meet Toby Keith. Trevor was in the care of Cleveland Clinic Children's Hospital and was awaiting a liver transplant.

When Trevor met Toby backstage, he asked Toby if he could sing with him. Toby smiled and said yes. When Toby came back out for the encore he was joined by Trevor on stage, where they sang American Soldier,
Just 3 days later on July 11th,2005 Trevor received a liver transplant.
